Mental Health

What is therapy?
Therapy or counseling gives patients the time to sit down with a mental health expert. Therapy activities can be different for different patients; some patients just want someone to talk to, while others like concrete tasks to work on their problems.
Your mental health provider — Kim Carter — will help you figure out which approach will be most helpful for you.
What is medication management?
For many patients experiencing a mental health condition, the combination of therapy and medication is the most successful approach. There are many types of medicines for mental health, including antidepressants, anti-anxiety medicines, antipsychotics, and some other medications that are prescribed to help manage mental health symptoms.
The clinic can provide medication management for many types of mental health medications. The clinic is not able to prescribe or manage controlled substances.
